JSTU VC calls for unity in national development

Jamalpur Science and Technology University (JSTU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Amir Hossain has called on everyone to work together for the country's development, stressing the importance of national unity and solidarity.

He made the call at a discussion organised at the university's academic building on Saturday (November 7), marking National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

The VC said national unity was essential to protecting the country's independence and sovereignty and advancing democracy.

He also urged everyone to uphold the spirit of patriotism and the November 7 uprising to build a prosperous Bangladesh.

Professor Dr Sharif R Rafi of Bangladesh Agricultural University delivered the keynote speech, highlighting the historical and political significance of the day.

The programme was attended by university teachers, students, officials and employees.
