The 30th US Trade Show 2026 concluded on Saturday with a closing ceremony at the Crystal Ballroom of InterContinental Dhaka, marking the end of a three-day event that showcased American products, services and innovations while highlighting opportunities to strengthen trade and investment ties between Bangladesh and the United States.

Co-sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) and the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka, the trade show brought together policymakers, business leaders, industry representatives and visitors to explore new business opportunities and promote bilateral economic cooperation, says a press release.

Md. Fazlul Hoque, administrator of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), managing director of Plummy Fashions Ltd and former president of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), and Trishita Maula, acting deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka, attended the ceremony as guests of honour.

The ceremony was also attended by Syed Mohammad Kamal, president of AmCham Bangladesh; former AmCham presidents Aftab Ul Islam, Syed Ershad Ahmed and Md. Nurul Islam; members of AmCham's Executive Committee; senior U.S. Embassy officials; representatives of participating companies; business leaders; and other distinguished guests.

A key highlight of the closing ceremony was the announcement of the Best Stall Award winners, selected through votes cast by participating exhibitors.

Bangla Trac Limited (Banglacat) secured first place, while Chevron Bangladesh and MJL Bangladesh PLC jointly received second place. Lal Teer Seed Limited won third place. PulseTech received the Best Stall Award in the Startup Zone, while Shwapno was recognised as the Best Stall in the Carnival Zone. Excelerate Energy Bangladesh Limited received special recognition for its creative stall concept.

Md. Fazlul Hoque said Bangladesh and the United States had significant potential to expand trade and investment, adding that the U.S. Trade Show offered businesses from both countries opportunities to build partnerships and explore new markets for sustainable economic growth.

Syed Mohammad Kamal, president of AmCham Bangladesh, said the trade show had played an important role in connecting American businesses with the Bangladeshi market over the past three decades. He reaffirmed AmCham's commitment to promoting investment, business partnerships and Bangladesh's long-term economic development.

Reza Ur Rahman Mahmud, treasurer of AmCham Bangladesh and managing director of Philip Morris Bangladesh, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the U.S. Embassy, participating companies, sponsors, partners, guests and visitors for their contributions to the successful completion of the event.

Alongside the exhibition, the three-day event featured seminars on women’s leadership, energy security, healthcare and medical technology, investment opportunities in the United States, reciprocal trade, and the ICT and digital economy.
