Teenage boy's body found in Ctg canal

The body of a teenage boy was recovered from a canal in Chattogram's Raozan upazila on Monday night. 

The body was recovered at around 10:00 pm from a canal adjacent to the Halda river near Harpara village under Urkirchar union in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Saiful Islam, 16, son of Abdul Haki, a resident of the area.

It was learnt that Saiful left his house for catching fish on Monday afternoon, but he could not return in the evening. 
Later, Saiful's family members started to search for him and found his floating body in the canal. 

On information, police recovered the body and it was handed over to the deceased's family members without autopsy upon their request, said Ariful Islam, sub-inspector of Purba Guzara Investigation Center.
