Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) Mahasthan Regiment's 10-day camping parade was held in Rajshahi on Wednesday.
The closing parade was held at Postal Academy of Nawdapara in the city in the morning.
Major General Khandkar Shahidul Emran, Commandant of Bangladesh Infantry Regiment Center, took salute as the chief guest at the closing parade. After salutation, he addressed all the cadets and military officers participating in the camp. He later gave awards to four hundred cadets for their skill and excellence in camping.
Mahasthan Infantry Regiment Commander Lieutenant Colonel Rashedul Hasan Prince was present at that time. A total of 526 BNCC cadet trainees from 99 schools, colleges and universities of 16 districts under Mahasthan Regiment participated in this camping.
The 10-day long regimental camping began on January 17. It will end on Thursday morning. As part of self-improvement training, cadets are trained in drills, PT, firing, patrolling, traps, emergency situations during earthquakes and fires. Apart from this, trainings on dengue prevention, first aid, personal hygiene and health awareness have been provided.
