A Dhaka-bound commuter
train hit a oil-laden train in
Gazipur's Joydebpur station on Friday morning.
Three persons, including a loco master, were injured in the collision that happened at about 11am at Kazipara area.
Following the
accident, the train movement on the Dhaka-Tangail and Dhaka-Mymensingh routes were suspended.
Joydebpur Railway Junction Station master Abu Hanif confirmed this.
Five compartments of the commuter train and several bogies of the oil-laden one were derailed after the collision, he said.
Railway authorities and Fire Service members are working on the spot with the help of locals.
Witnesses said the oil-laden train was on standing condition. Suddenly, a commuter train from opposite side hit the standing one.
