Body of missing HSC candidate found in Panchagarh pond

Police recovered the body of a HSC candidate, who went missing on Friday, from a pond near her house  in Panchagarh Sadar upazila on Saturday.

The deceased, Shahida Begum,19, was an HSC candidate and resident of Bamanpara village.

Shahida went outside on Friday around 9 am. Her father, Harun, filed a missing diary in the evening, as they could not locate her after searching for a while.

Locals spotted a dead body in the pond on Saturday morning and informed the police.
Panchagarh Sadar Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge, Pradeep Kumar Roy, said legal action will be taken based on the family's complaint after the autopsy.
