Teen drowns in Jhenaidah pond

A teen madrasah student drowned in a pond at Harinakunda upazila in Jhenaidah district on Saturday.

The deceased Siam Hossain, 14, was son of Shamim Hossain from Parkhiddah village and a student of local madrasah.
The madrasah superintendent Md Saiful Islam said Siam went to the pond to take bath with his classmates on Friday afternoon and didn't returned. 
Realizing the incident, the authorities conducted rescue operations but failed to locate him. Later, his body found floating in the water-body on Saturday morning, he said.

Harinakunda Police Station officer-in-charge Md Ziaur Rahman confirmed the death and added that an unnatural death case was filed in this regard.
