Two bodies recovered in Gazipur

Police have recovered two bodies from separate places at Kaliganj upazila in Satkhira district on Monday.

Kaliganj Police Station officer-in-charge Mahatab Uddin confirmed the matter on Tuesday.

Md Anwar Hossain, sub-inspector of the police station, said they have recovered a half-decomposed body from a ditch at Baligaon village after being informed by locals. 

"Subsequently, the body of Kawsar Hossain alias Munna, 40, was recovered by police from a pond at Betua area under Bahadursadi union of the upazila on Monday afternoon," said the SI.

"It was assumed that Munna was a drug addict, as police have seized some amount of drugs from his possession," he said.

Efforts are underway to identify the another body and legals actions were being taken in these regards, added the police official.
