Youth killed in Dinajpur road mishap

A young man was killed in a road accident on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj highway ar Chiribandar upazila in Dinajpur district on Saturday morning.

The accident took place near Amtali Bazaar area under Punotti union of the upazila around 7.30 AM on Saturday.
According to locals, the youth Bipu Roy, 24, was heading towards Dinajpur from Phulbari, driving the fertilizer-laden truck. On the way, when he reached near Amtoli Bazaar he lost control over the steering of the vehicle and overturned into a roadside ditch. Bipur died on the spot after being crushed under the truck.

Chiribandar Police Station sub-inspector Helal Uddin confirmed the incident, adding that legal actions will be taken in this regard.
