Police recovered the body of a young housewife from her in-law's house at Harirampur upazila in Manikganj district on Thursday night.
Following the incident, the law enforcers have detained the husband of Smriti Sarkar, 20, and her mother-in-law as victim's parents alleged the incident as a murder.
According to the family members, the mother of two children Smriti was got married with Sanjit Saha three years ago. Since their marriage, they used to fight often over several family disputes. On Thursday evening, the couple also had a fight over the same dispute.
Later, Smriti's body was recovered from under her bed around 6.30 PM on Thursday, an hour after her husband's leaving with his rickshaw.
Being informed, police recovered the body around 9 PM from the spot and sent to Colonel Maleque Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Confirming the matter, Harirampur Police Station officer-in-charge Md Mojibur Rahman said the body has a injury mark on her nose and an unnatural death case will be filed in this regard.
Police have detained two suspects for questioning and legal actions will be taken in this regard, added the OC.
