Youth 'commits suicide in Pirojpur

A youth reportedly committed suicide at Indurkani upazila in Pirojpur district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Abdullah, 18, son of Bahadur Hawlader, a resident of Togra village under the upazila.

According to the deceased family members, Abdullah was detached from his family members after his mother died. On Tuesday, they were informed that his body was hanging from a tree of an abandoned orchard in the upazila.

Indurkani Police Station officer-in-charge Kamruzzaman Talukder confirmed the matter, adding that the body was recovered and will be sent to Pirojpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
