Woman dies falling from moving motorcycle

A woman died falling from a speeding motorbike at Kalukhali upazila in Rajbari district on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was Sonali Akter, 35, wife of Md Al Amin and a resident of Bahadurpur village under Bheramara upazila of Kushtia district.

According to locals, Sonali was heading towards Dhaka with her husband Al Amin riding on a motorbike through Rajbari-Kushtia highway. While they reached at Sonapur intersection of Kalukhali upazila, Al Amin hit a speed-breaker, resulting in Sonali fell from the bike. 

Sonali was critically injured and taken to Kalukhali Upazila Health Complex where the attending doctors declared her dead.

Pangsa Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Harun-ur-Rashid confirmed the death.
