Two held with 4-kg hemp in Naogaon

Detective Branch (DB) of Police in a drive arrested two individuals along with four kilograms of hemp from Manda upazila in Naogaon district on Sunday night.

Ataur Rahman, 50, and Mamunur Rashid Babu, 26, were arrested from Pajarbangha bazaar area in the upazila.

Hasmat Ali, officer-in-charge of the Naogaon District DB Police, confirmed the detention, adding that acting on a tip-off, a team of the force conducted a raid in Ataur's house and arrested the duo red-handed along with the drugs.
A case was filed with Manda Police Station against the arrested duo under Narcotics Control Act and legal actions will be taken in this regard, added the OC.
