Teen found dead in Bagerhat

Police recovered the body of a seventh grade student from his house at Fakirhat upazila in Bagerhat district on Tuesday.

The deceased was Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, 12, son of Sheikh Saidul Islam, a resident of Hogoldanga village under Piljanga union of th upazila. He was seventh grade student at Piljanga High School.
According to the family members, Mehedi committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan out of huff with them as his uncle scolded him for not going to school.

They discovered him hanging with the ceiling fan in his room around 8 AM on Tuesday and informed police, said the family members.

Fakirhat Model Police Station officer-in-charge Md Ashraful Alam confirmed the death, adding that the body was sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy and the actual reason behind the death would be known after autopsy.
