Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a youth with arms and ammunition from KBS convention hall of Ranirhat Bazar under Rangunia upazila of the district last night.
The arrested is Tauhidul Islam Mamun, 34, son of Md. Ayub Ali hailed from Bagabil area under Rangunia upazila.
Being informed, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the area and nabbed Mamun around 11.40 pm, said Md Sharif-ul-Alam, senior assistant director (Mass Media) of RAB-7.
The RAB members also seized a LG gun and two bullets from his possession, he added.
Later, the arrested person and the seized goods were handed over to Rangunia Police Station.
A case was filed with the concerned police station in this connection.
