Two friends killed in M'singh ambulance-bike collision

Two friends were killed in a collision between an ambulance and a motorbike at Gafargaon upazila in Mymensingh district on Sunday.

The accident took place on the Gafargaon-Mymensingh KBI road at Charipara Bottala area under Barbaria union of the upazila.

The deceased were Alfaz Uddin, 20, son of Riaz Uddin from Bottala area, and Akash, 18, son of Abdul Qadir from the same area.

Citing locals, Gafargaon Police Station officer-in-charge Shibirul Islam confirmed the accident, adding that the duo was riding on a motorbike in the road when an ambulance collided head-on with their two wheeler, leaving Alfaz dead on the spot and Akash critically injured.

Akash was taken to Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Dr Tushar, an attending doctor of the upazila health complex, confirmed the death matter.
