Road crash leaves youth dead on Dhaka-Mawa expressway

A youth was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Mawa expressway at Sirajdikhan in Munshiganj district on Tuesday.

The accident took place at Kuchiamora Underpass Bridge in the upazila around 11.30 AM.

The deceased was identified as Fahad Mastasir Tonmoy, 26, son of Salam Jamadar, from Satmail village under Barishal Bimanbandar Police Station.

Citing locals, Hasara Highway Police Station sub-inspector Jamirul Islam said the accident occurred when the Dhaka-bound motorcycle driven by Tonmoy hit a stationary truck from behind in the morning. He died on the spot.

The body will be handed over to the family members after completing legal procedures, added the police official.
