Two killed as truck rams autorickshaws in Cumilla

Two were killed and four others injured as a truck rammed four autorickshaws at Chauddagram upazila in Cumilla district on Friday.

The accident took place around 4 PM on Friday at Miabazaar area on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway.
Miabazaar Highway Police Outpost in-charge Md Shahadat confirmed the information, adding that the identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

Citing locals, he said the accident occurred when a speeding lorry truck rammed four stationary autorickshaws beside the highway. An autorickshaw driver and a passenger died on the spot.

On information, police seized the truck and legal actions are underway to be taken, added the OC.
