Man held with phensedyl, hemp in Rajbari

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a man along with hemp and phensedyl from Pangsa upazila in Rajbari district on Friday.

The arrested is Md Hasibul, 34, a resident of Jibannagar upazila in Chuadanga district.

RAB-10 company commander Lt KM Shaikh Akhtar confirmed the matter in a press release on Saturday morning.

According to the press release, acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB conducted a raid at Gopalpur area along the Kushtia-Rajbari highway and challenged a motorcycle. While searching the two wheeler and its driver Hasibul, the elite force recovered two kilograms of  hemp and 90 bottles of phensedyl from his possession.

Later, the arrested was handed over to thee police station concerned for taking legal actions, added the press release.
