Teen girl's body found hanging in Bagerhat

A sixth-grade student from Morelganj upazila in Bagerhat district was found hanging in her home on Saturday. 

Her body was discovered by her relatives around 7 AM hanging from the ceiling of the house with a scarf.
Jasmine Akter, 11, daughter of Kasem Khan from Barikhali village, was a student at Rowshan Ara Girls' High School. 

According to her mother Fahima Khatun, Jasmine had a quarrel with her younger brother over sharing biscuits, leading to her tragic decision to take her own life.

Morelganj Police Station officer-in-charge, Mohammad Shamsuddin confirmed that police were sent to the scene and an investigation is underway to assess the situation and take legal action.
