Man's body recovered from Noakhali beel

The body of a day lobourer, who went missing on Friday, was recovered from a beel at Chatkhil upazila in Noakhali district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman Mohin, 50, hailed from Ramganj upazila in Laxmipur district.
According to locals, Mohin was missing since Friday (September 20) and found him dead in a beel at Keshurbag area under ward No. 7 of Hathpukuria Ghatlabagh union in the upazila around 9 AM on Sunday. Seeing his floating body, they have informed police who eventually recovered the body from the spot.

Chatkhil Police Station officer-in-charge Imdadul Haque confirmed the recoverey adding that the body was sent to Noakhali General Hospital morgue for autopy.

Efforts are on to identify the actual reason behind the killing and legal actions will be taken after completing investigation, added the OC.
