An alleged top criminal and another individual were hacked to death by assailants at Shahjahanpur upazila in Bogura district on Sunday evening.
The killing took place around 7 PM on Sunday in Sabraul area under the upazila.
The incident was confirmed by sub-inspector Faruk Hossain of Shahjahanpur Police Station.
The deceased were identified as Sagar Talukdar, son of Golam Talukdar and Swapan, son of Saiful, were both residents of the same area.
According to eyewitnesses, the two were hanging out with a group when 7 to 8 attackers arrived on motorcycles, surrounded them, and assaulted them with sharp weapons. Both Sagar and Swapan died on the spot, and several others were injured.
SI Faruk Hossain stated that both victims had multiple murder cases filed against them. Police have been deployed to the scene, and further details will be provided further.
