A large cache of weapons were recovered during a joint operation in Choufaldandi Majherpara area of Cox's Bazar on Saturday night.

The raid, conducted late Saturday night, was led by the 9th East Bengal Regiment of the 2nd Infantry Brigade under the 10th Infantry Division, along with RAB, BGB, and police forces.
Senior Assistant Director (Law and Media) of RAB-15, Md. Abul Kalam Chowdhury, confirmed recovery.

He said that based on secret information, they came to know that a huge amount of weapons were stored in a house of one Ziaur Rahman. Acting on the tip-off, they raided in the area and discovered a stockpile that included a gun, three LGs, seven cartridges, two machetes, three knives, marijuana, and important documents.

However, no arrests were made during the operation, added the RAB official.
