Toddler drowns in Chandpur

A toddler drowned in a ditch at Faridganj upazila in Chandpur district on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Ariyan, 3, son of Rabiul Chaiyal and a resident of Charmandari village under the upazila.
According to the family members, Ariyan slipped into the ditch adjacent to the house while playing on the bank of the waterbody and drowned there. While searching for him, the family members rescued him and took to Faridganj Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared him dead.

Rupsa South Union Parishad Chairman Humayun Kabir confirmed the death.
