Fire breaks out in Sunamganj gas cylinder warehouse

A fire broke out at gas cylinder warhouse in Sunamganj Sadar upazila on Sunday.

Confirming the incident, Sunamganj Fire Service Department Deputy Assistant Director Enamul Haque said that being informed, four firefighting units from Sunamganj and Bishwambhpur stations rushed to the spot and working to bring the blaze under control.
Locals said that the fire originated in the evening at the warehouse owned by Taibur Rahman and engulfed several other shops attached to it immediately.

The owner of the warehouse claimed that there were 3800 gas cylinders in the warehouse.

However, no casualty was reported yet and the origing of the fire yet to be ascertained, added the fire service department official.
