Man killed in Gopalganj road accident

The accident took place around 6 AM in front of Nurjahan Food and Agro Industries Limited at Bhattaidhoba bus stand along the Dhaka-Khulna highway.

The deceased was identified as Titul Molla, 45, son of Rokman Molla and a resident of Bhattaidhoba village under Sajail union of the upazila.

Locals said that a speeding truck collided with a batter-powered autorickshaw and subsequently fell on Titul's van, leaving him dead on the spot. Two autorickshaw passengers also sustained injuries at that time.

Locals rescued the injured and sent to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex where the physicians referred them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

Kashiani Police Station officer-in-charge Md Shafiuddin confirmed the incident, adding that they have seized the truck involved in the accident and legal actions were being taken in this regard.
