Two youths crushed under train in Ctg

A young boy and girl died after being crushed under the wheels of train in Mirsarai and Sitakunda upazilas in Chattogram.

The accidents occurred on Saturday at Shuklalhat in Sitakunda, and Mastannagar in Mirsarai.

An unidentified young girl, aged around 22, was killed when the Sagorika Express from Chittagong passed through the Barabkunda Shuklalhat area around 7 PM. Similarly, around 5:30 PM, an unidentified young boy, aged around, 23, died after being struck by a train in Mastannagar area of Mirsarai.

Upon receiving the information, Sitakunda Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered both bodies and sent them to morgue for autopsy.

SI Faruk Hossain, in charge of Sitakunda GRP outpost, stated that as the incidents occurred in their jurisdiction, they recovered the bodies and sent them for autopsy. 

Their identities are yet to be determined, but efforts are being made to identify them through fingerprint analysis. Two unnatural death cases will be filed at the Chittagong Railway Police Station regarding the incidents, added the police official.
