Bank official drowns in Tanguar Haor

The deceased was identified as Ali Hosen, an official at Janata Bank�s Corporate Branch in Dhaka.

According to police and locals, earlier in the morning, Ali Hossain, along with several other bank officials, had traveled to Tanguar Haor on a luxury houseboat from Sunamganj. Despite warnings, he went swimming without a life jacket and suddenly drowned there. 

His body surfaced in the evening, and with the help of locals, the police recovered the body from the water.

Tahirpur Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Delwar Hossain confirmed the incident.
