Smuggled goods worth Tk 1.02 cr seized in Feni

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized smuggled goods worth over Taka  1.02 crore from Feni border areas recently.

A BGB release, signed by Feni Battalion-4 Commander Mohammad Moshahrraf Hossain, confirmed the information on Saturday.

"The BGB personnel seized Indian sarees, three-piece, lehengas, Kashmiri shawl and liquor worth about Taka one crore two lakh 33 thousand and five hundred from Feni border area," the release said.

The seized goods, which illegally entered through Bangladesh territory, in last two days starting from October 18, were sent to Feni Customs Authority. A legal action is under progress, reads the press release.

But none was detained in this connection, the BGB added.
