Two school students were killed and another injured in a motorcycle accident at Kamarkhand upazila in Sirajganj district in the early hours of Monday.
The accident occurred around 12:30 AM on Monday at Chouabari area of the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Khalid Hasan, 18, son of Hasan Mia from Adachaki village, and Sohaq Hasan, 17, son of Shafiqul Rahman, both were students of Belkuchi Child Academy and candidates for the upcoming SSC examinations.
The identity of the injured individual has not yet been confirmed.
Eyewitness Fahad said that the three young men were riding the motorcycle towards Belkuchi when they crashed into a roadside tree at Chouabari intersection, resulting in the immediate deaths of two, while the third was taken to Sirajganj Shaheed M. Monsur Ali Medical College Hospital by locals.
Kamarkhand Police Station officer-in-charge Mokhlesur Rahman confirmed the incident, stating that legal actions were underway to be taken.
