Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar has said though autocrat Sheikh Hasina fled to India, her conspiracy has not yet ended.

"Sheikh Hasina has been conspiring to create instability in every sector of Bangladesh using her accomplices. We all will have be united to foil their conspiracies," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a workers' conference at Dumuria Degree College ground in Khulna on Saturday (November 16) morning. It was organised by Dumuria Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh.

Golam Parwar alleged that sons are still looking for their fathers at the graveyards since Sheikh Hasina fled to India on August 5 last. She didn't stop after killing people using bullets. She also burnt people with fire. People of this country would never pardon her.

He said Dumuria and Fultola upazilas had turned into safe heavens of terrorists and outlaws once upon a time. "Then we worked for eradicating the terrorists and outlaws with the cooperation of local people," he said.

Pointing out to the water-logging probelm in Dumuria-Fultola upazilas, the Jamaat leader said, "We have been facing serious water-logging problems. Necessary steps have already been taken talking with the ministry concerned to resolve the water-logging problems. It is not possible to resolve such a major problem by the interim government alone."

He also called upon the interim government to handover power to an elected government through a national election at a reasonable time after reforming several fundamental issues.

With Jamaat-e-Islami's Dumuria Upazila South Ameer Moulana Mukhtar Hussain in the chair, the workers' conference was also addressed by Jamaat-e-Islami's central working committee member Moulana Abul Kalam Azad, Sramik Kalyan Federation vice-president Master Shafiqul Alam, Khulna District Ameer Moulana Emran Hossain, District Secretary Munshi Mizanur Rahman, Professor Mia Golam Quddus, Advocate Abu Yusif Molla and Khulna District Chhatra Shibir president Belal Hossain Riyad.

Dumuria Upazila Hindu Committee president Krishna Nandi and Upazila Krishak Dal president Kabir Hossain also delivered complimentary addresses.
