Man held with 10 gold bars in Feni

An alleged gold smuggler was arrested along with 10 gold bars weighing 1.16 kilograms from a bus on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Khaiara in Feni district.

The arrested is Dwijendhar, son of Sudhangshu Dhar of Raozan upazila of Chattogram district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police intercepted a Cumilla-bound bus from Chattogram on Sunday and recovered 10 gold bars worth Tk 1.20 crore from a passenger, kept in his shoes tactfully, said superintendent of Feni Police Habibur Rahman. Later, police arrested him.

A case was filed against him and he was sent to jail.
