Govt land worth Tk 3.5cr recovered in Ctg

The upazila administration conducted a major operation to recover government property at Hathazari upazila in Chattogram district, worth approximately Tk 3.5 crore on Sunday afternoon.

The operation took place in Sarkarhat Bazar under 3 No. Mirzapur union. 

It was reported that an individual had illegally occupied around 32 decimals of government land in Sarkarhat Bazar and had started constructing unauthorized structures at night using a clever approach. Upon being informed, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) ABM Masuduzzaman visited the site, verified the illegal construction and led a demolition drive, dismantling the unlawful structures. 

The operation was attended by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Lutfun Nahar Sharmin, law enforcement officers, and various government officials.

UNO ABM Masuduzzaman, who led the mobile court, stated, "No one will be allowed to occupy government land illegally. Similar operations will continue in the interest of Hathazari residents to ensure that such encroachments are dealt with strictly."
