Six AL men among 33 held over lawyer murder, violence in Ctg

33 individuals have been arrested by police in connection with the violence and murder of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif in Chattogram.

Of them, six were arrested by Chattogram Metropolitan Police as suspects over the murder of lawyer Alif and 21 for vandalism and assaults on police during clashes on Tuesday. The six murder accused were identified by scrutinizing video footage.
Besides, six members of the Awami League and the outlawed Chhatra League were also detained with homemade improvised explosives (cocktails) in the port city, said Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.
