Motorcyclist dies in Rajshahi road accident

A motorcyclist was killed in a tragic road accident in Rajshahi city on Saturday. 

The incident occurred around 10:30 AM on Saturday at Naodapara area of the Rajshahi-Naogaon highway. 

The victim Md. Rabbi, 36, a resident of Kashiadanga area in Rajshahi city, was a supervisor for bKash in Mohanpur upazila.  

Shah Makhdum Police Station officer-in-charge Mahbub Alam stated that Rabbi was on his way to Mohanpur from the city when the accident happened. In an attempt to save a pedestrian woman, he collided with a road divider in front of Islami Bank Medical College Hospital in Naodapara. The impact caused him to fall and sustain critical injuries.  

Local residents rushed him to nearby Islami Bank Medical College Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.  

OC Mahbub Alam further added that Rabbi's body would be handed over to his family following necessary legal procedures.
