Jashore road crash leaves one dead, 2 injured

The victim, identified as Iqbal Hossain, 35, a resident of Bagbaganj village in Cumilla, lost his life at the scene. 

The accident occurred around 9:00 AM as a sand-laden truck struck the car en route from Jashore to Cumilla.  

Rahmatullah, 45, and Jabed Ali, 50, both from Batdul village, were injured in the crash. They were promptly rescued by locals and transported to Jashore General Hospital for treatment.  The deceased and the injured were all passengers in the private car. 

Barobazar Highway Police Station sub-inspector Fazlur Rahman confirmed the incident stating that Iqbal Hossain's body has been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy and legal actions will be taken in this regard.
