Teen's hanging body recovered in C'nawabganj

Police have recovered the hanging body of a teenage girl from Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj on Friday.

The incident occurred on Friday evening at Sahebgram area under Chowdala union of the upazila.

The deceases Morsheda, 14, was daughter of Mostafa and a resident of the village.  

Golam Kibaria Habib, the Chairman of Chowdala Union Parishad, confirmed the discovery and stated that family disputes might have driven the girl to take her own life.  

Gomostapur Police Station officer-in-charge Khairul Bashar said that the body was brought to the police station on Friday night and it will be sent for an autopsy on Saturday to determine the exact cause of death.  

The case is under investigation and further details will be revealed following the autopsy report.
