Man killed in Bogura road collision

The accident occurred on Saturday evening on the Bogura-Nagna highway at Santahar East Dhaka Road. 

The deceased, Abdul Matin, 55, driver of the auto-rickshaw, was from the Shibbati Kandarpura area of Kundagram union.  

According to reports, Abdul Matin was driving an auto-rickshaw with a passenger from Adamdighi to Santahar when the collision took place with an oncoming three-wheeler. Both the driver and the passenger were injured in the accident and were initially taken to the nearby Adamdighi Upazila Health Complex.  

However, due to the severity of his injuries, Abdul Matin was later referred to the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura where he succumbed to his injuries and passed away that night while receiving treatment.  

Adamdighi Police Station officer-in-charge Mostafizur Rahman, confirmed the incident and mentioned that police had arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the news. Police are taking necessary legal actions as the investigation continues.
