2 killed in Kishoreganj road crash

The accident took place around 7 AM in Ali Akbari area on the Kishoreganj-Bhairab highway of the upazila.

One of the deceased was identified Helal Bhuiyan, 50, a resident of Daudkandi area of the upazila. The identity of the CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver could not be known.

Police said the accident took place when a Bhairab-bound microbus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area, leaving two dead on the spot and injuring three others CNG passengers.

The injured were taken to Zahirul Islam Medical College Hospital. 

Bhairab Highway Police Outpost officer-in-charge M Saju Miah confirmed the matter.
