Two crushed under train in Tongi

Two people were killed after being struck by a train in Gazipur's Tongi on Monday night. 

The incident occurred around 10:15 PM in Bonmala area on the Dhaka-Mymensingh rail route.  

The deceased, whose identities yet to be ascertained, are believed to be a 30-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy, with initial police reports suggesting they may have been father and son.  

According to local witnesses, the pair were seen walking along the railway tracks before being crushed under the wheels of Kurigram-bound Kurigram Express train.  

Tongi Railway Police Outpost in charge sub-inspector Choton Sharma confirmed the recovery of the bodies, adding, "Efforts are underway to identify the victims."
