6kg hemp seized in B'baria

Confirming the seizour, SI Moshiur Rahman Khan of Bijoynagar Police Station said that acting on a tip-off, a team of police along with SI Nafiz Ahmed, conducted the raid in Harashpur Southpara area under Harashpur union of ward No. 5 and seized the drugs. The raid targeted a residence named Md. Emdadul Haque Mia, 38. However, both Emdadul and another suspect Md. Sujon Mia, 25, managed to flee the scene, abandoning the contraband. 

A case has been filed under Narcotics Control Act citing sections 36(1) Schedule 19(b)/38/41.

Police are actively conducting operations to apprehend the suspects, added the SI Moshiur.
