Child killed in Gopalganj road crash

The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon at Joynagar Bazar in Maheshpur union under the upazila. 

Kashiani Police Station officer-in-charge Md. Shafi Uddin Khan confirmed the matter.  
The deceased, Mahia Akter Mou, was daughter of Masud Sarder and a resident of Joynagar village in the same union.  

According to OC Shafi Uddin Khan, the child was crossing the road when the auto van struck her, causing severe injuries. She was rushed to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex where doctors pronounced her dead.  

Legal actions were being taken in this regard, added the OC.
