2 die in seprate incidents in Gopalganj

Two individuals, including a truck driver, lost their lives in separate incidents in Gopalganj district on Sunday. 

The incidents occurred on Sunday morning in Majra area under Kashiani upazila, and Mia Para area of Gopalganj municipality.  

The deceased were identified as Mahbub Molla, a resident of Boalmari upazila in Faridpur district and a truck driver by profession; Rahmat Sheikh, 30.

Citing locals, Bhatiapara Highway Police sub-inspector Md Roman Molla reported that a goods-laden truck en route from Chattogram to Khulna lost control upon reaching the Majra area of the Dhaka-Khulna Highway and collided with a roadside tree. The driver died on the spot.
  
In a separate incident at Mia Para area of Gopalganj municipality, Rahmat was electrocuted while attempting to connect a mobile phone charger to an live electric line. Family members rushed him to the 250-bed Gopalganj General Hospital, where the on-duty doctor pronounced him dead.
