Smuggled goods worth Tk 2cr seized in B'baria

The BGB sources said that acting on a tip-off, a BGB patrol team from Sarail Battalion (BGB-25) conducted a raid at Chandura Bypass area on Sunday around 1 PM. Sensing the presence of law enforcement, the suspected smugglers fled the scene. Upon searching the area, BGB officials discovered and confiscated 4,206 pieces of mobile phone displays of various brands, including Top-1 Golden Crown, Top-1 Combo, Lucky Combo, and Glass Product.  

The seized items, with an estimated market value of Tk 20 crore 10 thousands, will be handed over to the Akhaura Customs Office, according to BGB officials.  

Sarail BGB Battalion also added that their strong commitment to curbing smuggling activities and assured that similar operations will continue in the future.
