Two motorcyclists killed in N'ganj road crash

Two motorcyclists were killed in a collision on the Meghna Bridge along the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj district on Wednesday evening.  

The deceased were identified as Ashraful Alam, son of Alal Sheikh from Middle Bausia village, and Asim, son of Selim Mia from Char Choddokahania village, both in Gazaria upazila, Munshiganj.

Kanchpur Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Kazi Wahid Morshed stated that the two friends were returning to Gazaria after visiting Sonargaon. Around 7 PM, on their way back, a covered van struck their motorcycle from behind on Meghna Bridge, causing both riders to be thrown from the vehicle.  

Police have recovered the bodies and sent them to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy, he added.
