Teen killed, 2 injured in Jamalpur bike collision

A teenager was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles at Islampur upazila in Jamalpur district on Friday. 

The accident occurred on Friday morning at Char Dadna intersection in Gaibandha union of the upazila. 

The deceased, Sifat Ali, 16, was son of Tula Sheikh and a resident of Uttar Dariab Fakirpara village in the municipal area, .  

Reports indicate that the collision happened as the teenagers were traveling from Islampur to Porar Char. 

Locals rescued the injured, Jibon and Shahin, and took them to Islampur Health Complex. Due to the severity of Sifat's injuries, he was referred to Jamalpur General Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries en route.  

The two injured, Jibon and Shahin, are currently receiving treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.  

Islampur Police Station officer-in-charge Saifullah Saif confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are ongoing.
