Woman killed being hit by bus in N'ganj

A woman died after being hit by a passenger bus on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj. 

The incident occurred on Friday evening at around 6:00 PM near Kachpur Noa Badi BSCIC area.

The deceased, Anjuman Begum, 58, was wife of Abdus Salam Miah and a resident of Bagheera area in Kalakini upazila of Madaripur. 

According to the victim's brother, Mohammad Ali, Anjuman lived in a rented house in Rayerbag area of in the capital. On Friday, she had left her house to visit Kachpur for work.

Kachpur Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Kazi Wahid Morshed confirmed the incident, stating that Anjuman was struck by the bus while crossing the road. 

Police retrieved her body from the scene and handed it over to her family, he added.
