Young girl commits suicide following lover's death

Madan Karmakar, 30, reportedly took his own life by hanging, which led his lover, Sudipta Das Keka, 26, to consume poisonous tablets in despair. 

On Monday night, Madan, a resident of Garadah in Shahjadpur and an employee of a pharmaceutical company in Bogura, was found dead by hanging. He was the son of Bikash Karmakar. 

The following day, Tuesday afternoon, Sudipta, a music student and first-year honors student at Shahjadpur Government College, ingested poisonous gas tablets after hearing the news of Madan's death.  

Sudipta, daughter of Atal Krishna Das from Sahapara in Shahjadpur, was rushed to a local hospital and later referred to Bogura Shaheed Zia Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. However, she passed away on the way around 3:30 PM.  

According to locals, Madan had developed a romantic relationship with Sudipta despite being married, a fact he reportedly kept hidden from her. Sudipta would occasionally visit him at his workplace in Bogura, unaware of his marital status.

Shahjadpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aslam Ali confirmed the incident, stating, "We have sent police to the location and brought Sudipta's body to the station. A thorough investigation will uncover the exact details."
