Northern region of Bangladesh is experiencing a significant drop in temperatures as in Panchagarh's Tetulia, the mercury has fallen to 9 degrees Celsius, marking the third instance of such a cold wave this winter.

On Wednesday morning, the temperature was recorded at 9.3 degrees Celsius at 9 AM, slightly down from 9.4 degrees Celsius at 6 AM. The previous day, the temperature also stood at 9.4 degrees Celsius at the same time. This consistent drop in temperature has led to the continuation of the cold wave for the past two days.
Despite the chilly nights, residents said that the clear, sunny mornings are providing some relief. Many locals described nighttime temperatures as feeling close to freezing. However, the bright morning sunlight has allowed daily activities to continue without major interruptions, according to people from various professions in the region.

Jitendranath Roy, the acting officer at Tetulia's weather observation center, confirmed the ongoing cold wave and reiterated that temperatures have remained in 9-degree range. He added that this weather pattern is typical for the season and may persist for several more days.
