3 arrested in Noakhali BNP activist's murder case

The arrested individuals are Shah Alam, 54, Mohammad Shahid alias Kalam, 40, and Kawsar Alam, 40.

The arrests were made on Friday night following an intensive police operation, confirmed Begumganj Police Station officer-in-charge Liton Dewan.

Earlier, the victim's mother, Anwara Begum, filed a murder case naming six suspects with an additional five to six unidentified individuals listed as unknown suspects.  

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon in Sujayetpur village under Alaiyapur union where Kabir Hossain, 37, was shot and brutally slaughtered by assailants while he was returning home after Jummah prayers.  

The OC stated, "Following the murder, multiple police teams launched operations to apprehend those involved. By Friday night, we managed to arrest two named suspects and one additional suspect. The three were presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Noakhali on Saturday afternoon. Efforts are ongoing to capture the remaining accused."
